Thomas B. Lowman is the Chief Actuary at Bolton Partners, Inc. He has been a Fellow in the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries since 1982. Tom is a nationally recognized expert in the design, funding, and administration of retirement and post retirement medical plans. He has written and spoken extensively on national retirement issues, including seminars on: |

Mr. Lowman has served as an actuarial consultant to cities & counties, private employers, multi-employer plans and the Federal government. Tom has been the Chair of several Society of Actuaries Project Oversight Groups including projects on alternatives to using 30-year Treasury securities to measure pension obligations and Cash Balance plans. He served a three-year elected term on the Society of Actuaries’ Pension Section Council and served as Chair of the Society of Actuaries’ Pension Section Research Committee. Tom has also been a member of the American Academy of Actuary’s Pension Committee. |
